As Creative Director at Overland Entertainment I designed and executed the VIP area for the Global Citizen Festival in NYC – a tent and open air space in Central Park that was home to the performers, sponsors and other VIP in for the day-long musical charity extravaganza.
To reflect the spirit of the event which seeks to engage people and raise money to combat ills around the globe – poverty, hunger, disease, lack of education and environmental destruction, to name a few – I conceived of an elegant and environmentally sound concept for the space. Using lots of plants, recyclable materials, raw woods and natural fabrics we created an elegant oasis for guests and sponsors to enjoy the day. Several thousand people came through the space over the course of the day including headliners like Janet Jackson, Shawn Mendes, Cardi B and Janelle Monae.
